Peter Carter

Mayor of Port Hedland

Peter Carter was elected as the Mayor of Port Hedland in the October 2020 Local Government Election.

Mr Carter grew up in the Wheatbelt town in Victoria, and lived in Perth for 20 years. He previously owned and operated Churchill Colour Laboratory in Perth, owned BAC Productions in Perth for 15 years and has been the owner and operator of Pilbara Photographics for the last 15 years.

He was the Port Hedland Chamber of Commerce Inc. President for two years, on the Chamber’s Committee for one year and served on the Town’s Council for 18 months, prior to his mayorship.
