Fidel González

Owner, Mincka Engineering

Fidel González was born in Barranquilla, Colombia. He is a Mechanical Engineer, having graduated in 2006, and holds a Master's Degree in Engineering (2010). He is fluent in Spanish, English, French, and Portuguese. Currently, Fidel resides in Australia with his wife Magdalena and their two pets, Vito and Electra. There manages his own company, Mincka Engineering, which he has owned for 10 years.

After completing his studies, Fidel embarked on his professional journey in the mining sector. He initially worked for Drummond, a company with strong ties to the mining industry, where he gained valuable experience over a period of 5 years. However, he began contemplating the idea of starting his own business and immigrating to Australia, attracted by the country's abundant opportunities in the mining sector.

Through various connections and recruitment agents, Fidel was able to successfully migrate and continue his professional career in companies such as Inbye Mining Services, Vale, and BHP Billiton, where he further honed his expertise and knowledge, skills that would later be utilized in his own company. In 2013, Fidel took a leap of faith and established his own company called Mincka Engineering, a consulting firm that provides engineering solutions to the mining sector.

Fidel is passionate about staying abreast of new technologies and advancements that enable him to create new business opportunities and immerse himself in different cultures. His inspiration with his company is to showcase Colombian talent to the rest of the world.
